As visitors to the restaurant, it was already known to us that you can enjoy good Turkish cuisine at Konak in Aachen's Pontstraße. Today - due to the pandemic - we tried the delivery service for the first time. Here, too, Konak was able to convince: the delicious food was delivered on time 45 minutes after the telephone order. It was also served very warm. Plastic packaging was also largely avoided. Everything was really great! We will order from Konak again soon.
We picked up food, excellent, again next week ...
Modernly designed restaurant with tasty food and friendly staff. Due to the corona, you sit a little cramped at the small two-person tables with a plexiglass pane facing the neighboring table. We would be happy to come back.
Cool team was very relaxed.
When I first heard about Konak, I had to give it a try. A Turkish restaurant that cooks high quality and does not offer kebab: D Now to my assessment: The ambience is terrific, and the service is also very nice. My main course was cooked to the point (lamb) and just very well prepared. The jus of the dish was just a dream, a big compliment to the kitchen! The reason why I only give it 4 stars: We ordered the large meze plate as a starter and the dishes were ok. However, the price of 16.50 is really anything but justified. Price-performance: 1/5 Therefore here the one star deduction. Conclusion: The main course was a dream and everyone should have tried the leg of lamb! Always happy, would just avoid the appetizers, because just a tad too expensive.
One of my favorite restaurants in Aachen. Quality is always great and delicious. Very friendly owner and service. Very nice ambience.
Super tasty Turkish food
Really top quality. Are here more often. Aachen's best!
Best food and best service! Love it!
Very tasty, but very small portions for the price!
In Aachen for over thirty years, now run by the second generation. Turkish cuisine without kebab and without kebab. Mediterranean dishes, seasoned to the point. Homemade starters are very fresh and worth a recommendation. The corn chicken was rather dry and not a recommendation, but the grill plate was. Very nice, easy, professional and quick service. Would love to come back here.
The Turkish restaurant Konak offers a cross-over kitchen and is located in the middle of Aachen in the popular point district. The decor is tidy and modern and we really liked it. We were in Konak for the first time on the occasion of a 60th birthday. The choice of dishes is well made, so that vegetarians can also find something here. Thanks to the excellent dishes and the perfect service, we spent a very pleasant evening here
Super delicious price performance is right. Nice friendlier owner
Very pleasant gastronomy, the food is simply delicious and tastes very good. However, if it is very well attended, the one or the other re-ordering takes a little long, but that makes the friendly service and atmosphere disappear.
Food was delicious. Service was very good. One star less because there is no Turkish tea in a Turkish specialty restaurant.
Turkish cuisine combined with cross over dishes. Something for everyone. Good quality. Lively, talkative atmosphere.
Always delicious, good selection, large portions. I like to come here.
We happened to find this restaurant and were surprised by the nice service and excellent food. We recommend!
Delicious eaten again! Very friendly service and the eggplant filled me minced meat and a light spicy sauce, enjoy!
Very friendly service. Nice, modern ambience, but unfortunately the bar stools are not optimal. We have on inquiry but immediately got another table. What a pity it pulled in the front dining room and did not close the door automatically, so guests often just left it open and you sat in the cold draft. It was a bit uncomfortable. The food was very good in our group with three people, unfortunately not so with me. The mini starter I found too expensive for 4.50 euros. Unfortunately, they were also tasteless. First of all, the card did not say it was served in yogurt, I had specially selected a dish where yogurt was not next to it. The following lentil soup was unfortunately very watery and has only tasted of pepper, have let it stand. All the other dishes were according to my group but very tasty and fresh, the men would have wished, however, a slightly larger portion, for 15 euros one would like to be full. The drinks were with 6 euros for a bottle of water quite expensive. Unfortunately, Konak will not be added to my favorites list, but our friends will be happy to go back.
Good food
Super food. Try the lambshank. Me loves.
Ver good Location
I visited this restaurant for the first time a week ago. The food was so tasty that I decided to book a table for 15 people for this week Friday to celebrate my defense. I was asked by the waiter to confirm the final number of guests, which I did. On the day of the dinner someone from the restaurant called me to once again confirm the number of people. The person was very rude while speaking to me. The whole evening was ruined by the service from Konak restaurant. They didn’t take our orders correctly. We were served by 4 different people and all of them were completely clueless about who ordered what and in what amount. We needed to wait for the foood for over an hour. In the end they blamed us for all the problems that occurred during the evening. Moreover we were asked to never come back there and I think that we’ll follow the request.
NEVER GO THERE! Going there as a group ruined our night! They didn't know how to handle 15 people on Friday night even we made reservation a week before. The order came more than an hour late. Wrong orders. Charged everything twice. They brought an open-bottle table water with rakı (which is free with rakı) and charged 6€. In the end both the owners were telling us that we shouldn't have came as group and gone another restaurant. Blaming us for all the delay at the serving and reflecting a SUPER RUDE attitude. They said we were not welcome to that restaurant evenif we paid tips as well. Super rude!!!!!!!!! NEVER EVER GO THERE!
Good food, fresh ingredients
A very nice place with good food.
modern atmosphere, good taste, suitable amount, normal tea.
Been there twice now, second experience even worse than the first. Nice and modernized interior, food is tasting okay but too few waiters, very slow kitchen, small portions for the price, and they forgot to prepare a whole dish for our group. Walk a bit further and go to AKL instead if you want similar food with bigger portions quick.
So, this restaurant is one of seemingly good one ones in Aachen. However, that tells more about the competition than about Konak itself. The interior is nice, discreet ant tasteful. The food is turkish (known to be tasteful and massive), but here the taste and quality of it varies. There is a dish i found really tasteful (lamb wrapped in aubergine), and therefore repeatedly came back, but everything else was a disappointment. Quantity was repeatedly small (even for me, and I weight 48kg). However, the main reason my review is this bad is the service. A group of friends (3-8 of us) went for dinners there twice monthly for a few months. Not a single time have we had a pleasant treatment, even though we were regulars! What happened to us ranges from refusing to bring us tap water (although none of us ever made a bill smaller than 25e), to telling us that the table needs to be free in 10min once we said we didn't won't to drink anything more. I am not a person who writes hateful reviews based on a single visit, but hese people need to learn how a restaurant is to be run.. One should come to this place only if he desires to pay for being spitted on.
